Quality Controllers sought by a £multimillion pound food products manufacturer to join their team in Bilston. There are 2 x PM shifts available. Hours of work: Tuesday to Thursday: 2.45pm to 10.45pm Friday: 2.15pm to 10pm Saturday 8.30am to 5pm What will you be doing? As a Quality Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for implementing quality assurance processes, analysing production procedures, and adhering to HACCP guidelines to maintain product integrity and safety. Your daily Quality Controller duties will include: Ensure that the factory is complying with HACCP procedures and specifications, assessing quality, reporting any discrepancies where necessary Carry out Critical Control Point (CCP) checks in accordance with their training, records of which must be retained on site Shared responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the site HACCP plan Shared responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the requirements of the BRCGS Standards Reporting of any issues with the quality of the product and sending pictures where necessary to the Supervisor Raise any non-conformance activity with Quality and Production Management Carry out verification checks of calibration of measuring equipment (scales / checkweighers, etc.) in accordance with the QA schedule Make sure all paperwork is correct for traceability purposes Perform specific audits on a daily basis such as pre-start-up checks and hygiene checks and liaise with management at all levels when reporting results Co-ordinate documents and investigate complaints, solve problems, taking the relevant corrective action Perform organoleptic panels and microbiological sampling when require; which involves collecting and collating samples Ensure that the correct PPE is worn by all staff at all times within the factory Be part of investigation of Customer Complaints, Customer rejections, GPM in and around the factory Be aware of, understand and adhere to the maintenance of good GMP Make sure all product is checked correctly and documents all completed accurately Ensure procedures are implemented to provide a safe and legal product As a Quality Controller, you will demonstrate: Proven experience in a quality control or assurance role, preferably within the food industry. Strong understanding of HACCP principles and their application in a manufacturing environment. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Relevant qualifications in Quality Assurance or related fields are advantageous but not essential. What’s In it For You?

  • 13.10 per hour basic rate
  • 13.85 per hour after 6pm
  • 15.20 per hour on Saturdays
