About the Role
Are you a passionate and engaging Year 6 Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you'll inspire and support pupils to achieve their full potential through engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and inclusive lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
* Teach Year 6 pupils across a range of abilities, supporting them to develop their knowledge, skills, confidence, and independence.
* Prepare pupils effectively for their SATs , ensuring they develop a strong understanding of key concepts across the curriculum.
* Deliver high-quality teaching across core subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and other areas of the Year 6 curriculum.
* Encourage pupils to think critically, solve problems, communicate effectively, and apply their learning to a range of contexts.
* Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development and attainment.
* Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support, challenge, and intervention to ensure all pupils make progress.
* Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, participation, and a love of learning.
* Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, effort, and respect within the classroom.
* Support pupils in developing the confidence, resilience, and independence needed for a successful transition to secondary school.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
* Contribute to planning, resources, enrichment activities, school events, and wider school initiatives where required.
* Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times. Requirements * Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and Year 6 expectations.
* Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and inclusive lessons.
* A passion for teaching and a commitment to inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential.
* Experience preparing pupils for SATs is desirable.
* A commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupils of all abilities.
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and create a supportive learning environment.
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification is desirable.
