Ipsen seeks a Head of AI Programming to transform the Biometry function by integrating machine learning, large language models, and automation into statistical programming and clinical data science operations. The role involves leading a specialist team, developing AI-enabled capabilities, establishing governance frameworks, and driving adoption across R&D.
Responsibilities
- Lead AI-programming strategy, roadmap, standards and operating model for Biometry
- Build and manage team of clinical data scientists, AI-programming experts and application developers
- Develop and scale machine learning and LLM capabilities for clinical and statistical applications
- Create and enforce governance for AI-enabled programming including validation and lifecycle management
- Partner across R&D, IT, and Digital/Data/Analytics to deliver scalable, reusable solutions
Requirements
- Leadership experience building and scaling specialist technical teams
- Expertise in machine learning, large language models, and AI-enabled analytics
- Deep knowledge of statistical programming and clinical data science
- Experience designing governance frameworks for AI and automated systems
- Track record evaluating and implementing external tools and platforms
- Proficiency with automation, application development, and data engineering concepts
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional partnerships
