About My Client

My client is a welcoming traditional country pub in the Oxfordshire village of Hook Norton, surrounded by beautiful countryside.

The venue combines a relaxed pub atmosphere with freshly prepared food, local ales and comfortable guest accommodation. With its traditional character, open fire, outdoor space and camping facilities, it attracts a varied mix of locals, visitors and countryside explorers. The kitchen is currently going under expansion to another kitchen, which will only lead to rapid growth within the team.

The kitchen focuses on freshly cooked food and locally sourced ingredients , offering an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where quality and consistency matter.

The Role

My client is looking for a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join their growing kitchen team.

You’ll take ownership of your section, preparing and cooking dishes to a consistent standard while helping deliver smooth, efficient service. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who takes pride in their work and wants to continue developing their skills in a busy hospitality environment.

Working closely with the wider brigade, you’ll contribute to food preparation, presentation and the day-to-day organisation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Run your section efficiently throughout service

• Prepare and cook dishes to the required standard

• Maintain consistency, flavour and presentation

• Keep your workstation clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards

• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service

• Assist with stock monitoring and kitchen organisation

• Support and encourage junior kitchen team members

About You

We’re looking for a Chef de Partie who:

• Has experience working in a professional kitchen

• Has good fresh-food preparation and cooking skills

• Takes pride in quality, consistency and presentation

• Can work efficiently under pressure

• Has a positive, team-focused attitude

• Understands food hygiene and kitchen safety

• Is flexible to work evenings, weekends and holiday periods
