Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Pay: £460-£600 per week (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term Could you provide the patience, encouragement, and consistency that help pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs thrive? GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are looking to appoint SEMH Teaching Assistant for vibrant schools in Rotherham . We would like to hear from compassionate and resilient individuals who can provide tailored support to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs while promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning. The SEMH TA contributes to a nurturing learning environment by helping pupils manage challenges, build self-confidence, and achieve their individual goals. SEMH Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: * Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
* Encourage positive behaviour using appropriate support strategies
* Build trusting relationships that promote confidence and emotional wellbeing
* Support pupils' engagement in lessons and daily school activities
* Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement individual support plans
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment SEMH Teaching Assistant Requirements: * Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs in school settings
* Good understanding of behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach when supporting pupils
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Genuine commitment to promoting pupils' wellbeing and development
