An exciting opportunity has arisen for a salaried GP to join our very friendly and progressive practice. We are a supportive and approachable team of 7 GP partners along with 4 existing salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 2 Practice Nurses and 3 HCAs. We are supported by an excellent Docman/workflow team, dedicated reception, and prescribing team, and are led by a dynamic management team. North Cardiff Medical Centre is a large practice (list size 15,000+) and we are proud of our good local reputation. We are a training practice as well as teaching medical students. The practice ethos is one of co-operative working and mutual support, aiming to deliver excellent patient care whilst recognising the importance of maintaining a good work/life balance. We offer a good income with generous annual holiday allowance and study leave entitlement. We would happily consider a range of sessions for a suitable candidate and offer good support for anyone venturing into partnership for the first time.As partners we have an open-door policy and are always available to discuss cases or chat over a coffee. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
North Cardiff Medical Centre is a progressive, 7 Partner, training Practice serving a patient list size of 15,000 over two sites. Our main site is a modern purpose built premises on the outskirts of Cardiff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide clinical services as designated by the Partnership
- To contribute to the clinical governance agenda of the practice
- To work with the Partnership to develop clinical services.
- To participate in Continuing Professional Development and the National Appraisal Programme.
- To provide, as part of a core multi-disciplinary team, a high quality general medical service to the registered patients of the practice (including temporary residents)
- To provide consultation and appropriate clinical management of patients attending the practice, or to those where a home visit is clinical
- To provide telephone and appropriate management of patients who contact the practice, where necessary
- Assessing, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Reviewing and actioning their allocated pathology and investigation results
- Completing referrals and associated clinical administration
- Maintaining accurate clinical records using EMIS Web.
- Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective and compassionate care.
