Mechanical Fitter: Day Shift | Walsall | £14.00 per hour
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Walsall, working day shifts.
Role Overview
* Fit, assemble, maintain and repair mechanical equipment and machinery
* Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond promptly to breakdowns
* Interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions accurately
* Diagnose faults and resolve issues efficiently and safely
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure work areas are left tidy
* Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and procedures at all times Candidate Profile * Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter
* Competent in using hand tools with the ability to work to precise tolerances
* Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team
* NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not essential with demonstrable experience
* Reliable with strong timekeeping and a professional attitude Benefits * Competitive pay at £14.00 per hour
* Day shifts, Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:00
