About the role

We are a residential housebuilder committed to delivering high-quality new homes and creating sustainable communities. We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team in the East Midlands region.

The purpose of the Quantity Surveyor role is to ensure effective commercial and cost control of residential developments, including subcontractor management, monthly valuations, and accurate financial reporting across live sites.

The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring developments are delivered within budget while maintaining strong commercial awareness and supporting operational teams on site.

Key responsibilities

• Contract management of appointed subcontractor trades as a Quantity Surveyor

• Leading monthly valuation meetings with key trades on site

• Attending site meetings as part of the Quantity Surveyor development process to review performance and quality

• Preparation and management of site budgets by the Quantity Surveyor

• Monitoring project costs and ensuring accurate financial reporting across all schemes

Requirements

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within housebuilding or the wider construction sector

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to prepare and manage budgets

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively

• Confident dealing with subcontractor queries and supporting site teams where required

• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
