About the Role... STAR Procurement has a vacancy within the team to enable us to build on our success and bring new talent into the service. As a Trainee Procurement and Business Support Officer, you will provide support and assistance to the STAR Procurement team in delivering procurement advice and support to client departments and partner organisations. You will also provide administrative support across STAR and contribute to the Business Improvement function. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your procurement, commercial and business support skills within a collaborative and forward-thinking public sector procurement team.
About You... To be successful at shortlisting stage, you will have GCSE Grades A-C in English and Maths (or equivalent qualification), experience working in a business environment, and good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. You will be organised, able to manage workloads and meet deadlines, and possess strong communication skills. We are looking for someone with attention to detail, analytical and numerical skills, a basic understanding of business and commercial environments, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
