De La Vali is looking for a freelance Garment Technologist to join the team in London .
Working alongside Design & Production, the Garment Technologist will assist in the development of the product from the sketch to production, including fitting and construction according to quality & production procedures.
Key Responsibilities of the Garment Technologist:
- Securing fit, function, shape, size, quality and construction according to Design, through product development to sealed sample.
- Responsible for measurement specification development and maintenance.
- Driving fit and construction changes, updating sample comments and feedback, checking measurements, construction, finishings, materials, and suitability for production according to requirements.
- Responsible for translating design into a Technical Package, ensuring it is production-friendly.
- Provide technical support regarding materials and sustainability topics during product development by checking development samples' construction and fit.
What De La Vali is looking for:
- At least 10 years' experience in garment technology or product development.
- Experience creating fit blocks.
- Clear communicator, able to communicate with suppliers to achieve desired results.
- Problem-solving fit/fabric/trim challenges.
- Strong background in global garment manufacturing.
- Luxury quality experience beneficial.
