Initial one-year contract with the possibility of extension and potential progression to a full-time position.
The package includes 24 days of annual leave, bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme, free access to a gym and fitness sessions, training opportunities, and international travel. The salary range is quoted as Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). As this role is 4 days per week, the salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis. Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) is a charitable, user-led international institute working towards a world shaped by restorative justice values, including fairness, equality, dignity, respect, and shared power. We advance this vision through dialogue, education, sport, and the arts, applying restorative justice principles to address power abuse and support more balanced and inclusive communities. The RJ4All Headquarters are in London at the RJ4All Rotherhithe Community Centre and we have a sister organisation based in Cyprus, “RJ4All Europe”. 2025 was a landmark year for RJ4All. We strengthened over 45 strategic partnerships across 13 countries, delivered 12 major projects in the UK and three across Europe, and contributed to shaping national criminal justice reform through engagement with the Independent Sentencing Review, HM Prison and Probation Service, and the Victim and Witness Sector Engagement Group. In SE16, our Rotherthithe Community Centre recorded more than 6,000 visits, with community members contributing over 7,000 hours as volunteers and interns. Internationally, we convened 20 world peace leaders from 9 countries at our symposium in Cyprus and continued expanding our evidence base across areas including gender-based violence, youth justice, hate crime and community cohesion. This growth is continuing. We are now strengthening our team to take this work into its next stage, and the leadership role we are recruiting for sits at the heart of that ambition. Job Overview This is a practice-focused project officer role based at the Rotherhithe Community Centre in SE16. The post holder works across local, national and international restorative justice projects, reporting to the Head of UK Programmes. The person specification calls for a degree in social sciences or criminal justice alongside a certified restorative justice qualification, at least two years of relevant experience, and strong project delivery and communication skills. Experience in youth work and the non-profit sector is desirable but not essential. It is a hands-on, values-driven role suited to someone who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and who is genuinely committed to restorative justice practice. Key Duties Youth Endowment Fund Delivery (60%) Support participating Youth Justice teams with the implementation of restorative justice practices Provide casework guidance and 1-1 support on complex restorative justice cases Conduct qualitative research and contribute to funder and Board reports Community and Youth Work Delivery (30%) Plan and deliver restorative justice activities for marginalised groups including young people at risk of offending and victims of harm Deliver direct and indirect restorative justice processes alongside holistic approaches such as sports, arts and community dialogues Build partnerships with local agencies, stakeholders and communities to promote restorative justice General Responsibilities (10%) Attend team meetings, training and contribute to the wider work of RJ4All Key Requirements Essential Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, criminal justice or a related field Certified qualification in restorative justice (Master’s degree, Level 4 Diploma or equivalent professional certificates) Demonstrable experience delivering projects, managing budgets and reporting to funders Experience using holistic approaches (sports, arts, community work) to support affected parties Desirable Minimum two years’ experience delivering restorative justice interventions and/or mediation Experience in a non-profit, CIC or small business environment Experience in youth work and supporting young people at risk Additional knowledge and expertise in complex cases (including hate crime and gender-based violence), youth work, and the criminal justice system and/or probation services is highly valued.
