Senior Building Surveyor

I'm working with one of London's fastest-growing independent construction and property consultancies, looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor to become the driving force behind its education service line.

This is a unique opportunity for a project-focused Building Surveyor who enjoys taking ownership, building client relationships and delivering high-quality schemes from inception through to completion. While previous education experience would be advantageous, it's by no means essential what matters is your ability to successfully lead projects, manage clients and deliver exceptional outcomes.

You'll become the lead surveyor for the consultancy's education portfolio, delivering refurbishment, extension and capital improvement projects across schools, academies, colleges and universities throughout London and the surrounding Home Counties.

You'll be joining a modern, forward-thinking consultancy that has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality Building Surveying, Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Principal Designer services across both the public and private sectors. With an established client base and a healthy pipeline of secured work, you'll have the autonomy to lead projects while helping to grow one of the consultancy's key service lines. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact rather than simply becoming another member of a large team.

Responsibilities

• Lead refurbishment and capital projects from inception through to completion.
• Undertake Contract Administration and Employer's Agent duties.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
• Manage project costs, programmes and risk.
• Build long-term relationships with education clients and key stakeholders.
• Support the continued growth of the Education service line across London and the Home Counties.

About You
You'll be a Senior Building Surveyor with a strong background in project delivery and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Ideally you'll have experience in:

• Contract Administration
• Project Management
• Design & Specification
• Refurbishment and capital works
• Client-facing consultancy
• Stakeholder management

Education sector experience is not essential. The consultancy is looking for someone with the technical capability, commercial awareness and personality to become the trusted adviser for their education clients.
