The Children's House is a well-established primary school located Islington, dedicated to nurturing creativity and confidence in young learners. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Drama Teacher in a stand alone role to join us on a Thursday afternoon and full day on Friday who can deliver drama lessons across two sites. This is a maternity cover role for a period of one year starting in October. This role focuses on delivering engaging Drama lessons within the Early Years/Key Stage 1 curriculum.

Position Type: Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality drama lessons that inspire and engage children aged 4-11.
- Develop students' understanding of basic theatre concepts, storytelling, and performance skills.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to integrate performing arts into broader learning experiences. Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years’ teaching experience in drama or performing arts at the primary level.
- Strong knowledge of Early Years/Key Stage 1 curriculum requirements for Drama and Theatre Studies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate young learners.
- Ability to create dynamic lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Proficient classroom management skills ensuring a safe, supportive environment for all students. Values and Attitudes:
