Transport Clerk

Here at  GXO Brinklow, Milton Keynes , we’re working together with  Waitrose  and are on the look-out for a  Transport Administrator to join our fast-paced transport office. You’ll be working on a  full-time, permanent  basis, on an ‘any 5 days out of 7’  shift pattern, working hours rotating 06:00-14:00 and 14:00- 22:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Build and maintain a strong partnership with the transport functions and drivers to ensure regular communication is delivered
• Liaise with warehouse operations to meet the delivery schedule
• To work within operational procedures, adhering to Health & Safety requirements at all times
• Record details of vehicle accidents and ensure these are escalated to line management
• Drivers brief and de-briefing as well as data entry of statistics, customer reports and KPI’s
• Respond to customer queries in timely and professional manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience in transport function within logistics beneficial but not essential
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate with other team members and departments
• IT Literate, with excellent Word and Excel capabilities
