Stock Controller

We are on the lookout for a Stock Controller to support our client National Highways , based at Warwick, CV35 8AA . You will manage warehouse inventory and optimise productivity, ensuring that site procedures for stock management are in place and are adhered to.

This is a full-time, permanent position . You will be working Monday to Friday , covering the hours of 08:00 to 16:00 . However, some flexibility is required

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Review stock and operational activities within the warehouses; make decisions regarding these based on area performance monitoring and evaluations against key performance indicators
• High level of stock responsibility, investigating product specifications, correct product codes, descriptions which conduct cycle counts, and auditing
• Communicate with all levels of colleagues, the customer team and management from National Highways, engineers and project sponsor based at the maintenance depots
• Ensure IT warehouse system is maintained and ensure all data is accurate and up to date

What you need to succeed at GXO

• Strong IT, organisational and administration skills are essential as the role involves a high degree of system interaction and stock accuracy
• Experience of working with computer packages including stock management systems, Oracle WMS experience is desired but not essential, training will be provided
• Ability to work on own initiative
• A full, clean driving license is required, holiday cover at different regional store depots across the UK will be required as part of the job
