Pastoral and Wellbeing Support Assistant – Part Time
The Maynard School is looking for a caring, approachable and highly organised Pastoral and Wellbeing Support Assistant to join our supportive pastoral team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the wellbeing of our pupils. Working closely with the Deputy Head Pupils, DSL, Heads of Year and wider pastoral team, you will provide mentoring and early help for pupils, support families, assist with safeguarding administration and help ensure that every pupil feels listened to, valued and able to thrive.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, a calm and compassionate approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with young people, parents and colleagues. Experience of working with young people or within a school environment would be an advantage, as would qualifications or experience in counselling, mental health or wellbeing, although opportunities for relevant professional development will be available.

The salary for this position is £17330 per annum (FTE £26142)
This role is a permanent, part time position working term time only (37 weeks per annum).
Working Hours Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3pm with unpaid half hour for lunch. (30 hours per week)
