Production Engineer

James Andrews are proud to be partnering with an international manufacturing specialist that is now looking to appoint a Production Engineer on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position based on-site and in the Worcestershire region. The position comes with an attractive remuneration package and benefits, which includes a profit-based bonus scheme.

The ideal candidate will adopt a hands-on approach allowing them to support both engineering and production operations and will ideally have pre-existing knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

* Providing hands-on support to a production team in the automotive and manufacturing sector, focusing on hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
* Interpreting and producing engineering drawings using CAD to meet production and design requirements, including optional extras and one-off adjustments
* Delivering technical support and instructions on the shop floor to aid the build and assembly process
* Ensuring all activities are compliant with industry standards
* Playing an active role in the design and development of new products, including prototyping activities
* Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers and customers to resolve any queries or issues

Experience and Skills required:

* Proven experience within industries such as heavy vehicle production, plant equipment or similar
* An understanding of hydraulic systems
* Proficiency in CAD (Ideally AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar)

Knowledge and Expertise required:

* PC skills and being familiar with Microsoft Office
* Ability to train and develop teams on production processes across the business
* Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Working hours :

* 39 per week
* Full time on-site
