Indirect Tax Advisory Manager
Location: Reading | Hybrid Working
Are you an experienced Indirect Tax professional looking to take the lead on complex advisory work while building lasting client relationships?
A leading professional services firm is looking to appoint an Indirect Tax Advisory Manager to join its growing team. Working with a varied portfolio of UK and international clients, you'll deliver strategic VAT advice, lead on high-profile projects and play an active role in developing both clients and the wider team.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering bespoke UK and international VAT advisory services to a diverse client base.
- Leading on complex projects including transactions, restructures, property VAT and cross-border trade.
- Advising clients on managing VAT risk and identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies.
- Managing HMRC enquiries and resolving technical VAT issues.
- Building and developing strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser.
- Coaching and developing junior team members while reviewing their work.
- Supporting business development through networking, proposals and identifying opportunities for growth.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualification (or equivalent).
- Strong Indirect Tax advisory experience gained within practice or industry.
- Excellent UK VAT technical knowledge with the ability to provide practical, commercial advice.
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering advisory projects.
- Strong communication, leadership and business development skills.
