A well-established car dealership in Epsom, Surrey, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their professional team. Duties of the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:
- Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on passenger and commercial vehicles
- Diagnose and repair faults efficiently and accurately
- Support mechanical and electrical repairs as part of the team
- Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics adhering to industry standards
- Provide technical advice to customers and colleagues
- Support MOT testing, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations
- Participate in ongoing training to remain current with emerging vehicle technologies, including electric vehicles
Requirements of the MOT Technician:
- Full UK driving licence held for at least six months
- NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Minimum of two years post-apprenticeship experience within an automotive environment
- MOT testing qualification preferred for the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester role
- Previous experience within a main dealership or similar environment advantageous
- Strong enthusiasm for learning electric vehicle maintenance and repair
- Organised, detail-oriented, and customer-focused with excellent communication skills
