The Opportunity

ThreeSixty Talent is recruiting an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a major infrastructure contractor delivering National Grid transmission and substation projects across the UK.

You will lead the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of major infrastructure projects, managing multidisciplinary teams from construction through to commissioning and handover.

Direct National Grid project delivery experience is essential. Candidates without demonstrable experience delivering projects for National Grid will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major National Grid transmission and high-voltage substation projects.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client relationships.
• Control project programmes, budgets, forecasts, risks and commercial performance.
• Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
• Coordinate construction, design interfaces, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality and contractual requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Direct National Grid project delivery experience within transmission, high-voltage substations or associated electricity infrastructure.
• Proven Project Manager or senior project delivery experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and change management.
• Experience managing programmes, costs, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• SMSTS certification.
• Appropriate CSCS or EUSR CSCS management card.
• Full UK driving licence.

Please note: General power infrastructure, DNO/NGED experience or indirect liaison with National Grid will not meet the essential requirement without evidence of direct National Grid project delivery.

Desirable Experience

• Experience delivering 275kV or 400kV transmission and substation projects.
• Live substation environments, outage planning, commissioning and energisation.
• NEC4 Project Manager accreditation or relevant professional qualifications.
• EUSR SHEA Power and BESC Substations registrations, where applicable.
