With opportunities available for both regular supply and longer-term placements, this is a great way to begin your teaching career while gaining experience in a range of supportive school environments.

We are particularly interested in ECTs who are ready to build their confidence, establish strong classroom practice and make a positive impact on pupils.

Key Information

Role: Primary Early Career Teacher (ECT)
Location: North Manchester
Start Date: September 2026 / Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: £130-£170 per day DOE.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver engaging lessons that are appropriate for the age, ability and needs of your class.
• Follow school planning while developing your own teaching style and classroom practice.
• Create a welcoming classroom where pupils feel confident, supported and motivated to learn.
• Establish clear routines and use positive behaviour strategies effectively.
• Assess pupil understanding and use feedback to support progress.
• Work closely with experienced teachers, Teaching Assistants and school leaders.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Continue developing your teaching practice as you work towards completing your ECT induction.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS and is currently completing their ECT induction or eligible to begin.
• Has a good understanding of the Primary curriculum.
• Is keen to develop their classroom practice and learn from experienced colleagues.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Has a positive approach to classroom management.
• Is adaptable, reliable and enthusiastic about starting their teaching career.
• Is committed to creating positive outcomes for pupils.

What We Need from You

• An up-to-date CV including your full education and employment history.
• Proof of Right to Work and UK address.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• At least 2 professional references.
• A positive and professional approach to your work.
