Where will you be working?

This role is in our Metering team, our team is responsible for installing, maintaining and managing meters to make sure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored. We leverage our industry expertise and data insight capabilities to create solutions that fit the needs of our customers across the Group.

What will you be doing?

We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded Demand Manager to ensure the right volume of work is available to support operational performance, engineer utilisation and contractual commitments. Working closely with Scottish Power and internal stakeholders, you'll use data, forecasting and industry insight to shape customer demand, identify future risks and drive booking performance across our Smart Metering operation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong partnerships, solving complex planning challenges and using insight to influence operational outcomes.

• Acting as the key point of contact for Scottish Power on demand planning, forecasting and booking performance.
• Forecasting customer appointment volumes to ensure work demand aligns with operational capacity.
• Monitoring booking pipelines and demand trends to identify risks, opportunities and future requirements.
• Developing and implementing plans to address demand shortfalls and maintain service delivery targets.
• Working closely with Campaign Management and Customer Interaction teams to maximise booking conversion and appointment generation.
• Coordinating demand-shaping activities to balance regional and seasonal fluctuations in workload.
• Providing forecasting, trend analysis and performance insight to support operational decision-making.
• Ensuring appointment volumes support contractual commitments, customer expectations and capacity plans.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase engineer utilisation and reduce scheduling gaps.
• Supporting mobilisation, growth and future business planning through effective demand forecasting and management.

What they’ll bring:

You'll bring strong forecasting and planning expertise, combined with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders. Comfortable working in fast-paced operational environments, you'll use data and insight to balance customer demand with business capacity, driving performance and delivering great outcomes for customers and partners.

Essential

• Experience in workforce planning, scheduling or demand forecasting.
• Background in utilities, field services or operational delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Proven data analysis, forecasting and performance management experience.

Desirable

• Smart metering industry knowledge.
• Experience working with energy suppliers, including Scottish Power.
• Knowledge of appointment booking platforms and CRM systems.
