Technical Engineer — Business IT, Networks & VoIP
Phone Guys is recruiting a Technical Engineer.
Our work spans business phones and 3CX, SIP and connectivity, IP networks, routing and switching, Wi-Fi, Microsoft 365, managed IT, CCTV and access control. You do not need to know every platform on day one. Strong fundamentals across several areas, sound judgement and the ability to learn are more important.
What you may do
• Prepare and configure systems in the workshop
• Install and commission equipment at customer sites
• Diagnose network, connectivity, voice and user issues
• Explain technical choices clearly to customers
• Document changes so systems remain supportable
We would like to see examples of complex faults you solved and systems you personally delivered. Experience with IP networking, VoIP/3CX, Wi-Fi or Microsoft 365 is valuable. TP-Link Omada, Yealink, multi-site systems, CCTV or access control are useful additions.
Location: South Cumbria is preferred. Suitable candidates based in North Cumbria or North Lancashire will also be considered. The role includes workshop and on-site work, with the balance of remote support and travel discussed with the successful candidate. Pay and exact work pattern will be discussed with suitable applicants.
