Expedited Specialist Pathway
Australia's Expedited Specialist Pathway provides a streamlined route to specialist registration for eligible Psychiatrists.
Eligible applicants include consultants holding specialist qualifications from:
- United Kingdom (CCT with GMC Specialist Registration)
- Ireland (CSCST with Irish Medical Council Specialist Registration)
This pathway significantly reduces waiting times and avoids lengthy assessment processes previously required.

Eligibility
You may be eligible if you:
- Hold specialist qualifications in Psychiatry from the UK or Ireland.
- Are registered on the GMC Specialist Register or Irish Medical Council Specialist Division.
- Have completed your specialist training and are currently practising independently as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
- Are interested in relocating to Australia within the next 4–8 months.
