The opportunity

We are looking to appoint a School Nurse to join our team from August 2026.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining the clinic, ensuring that pupils receive appropriate health care and advice to maximise their ability to learn and develop physically, socially and emotionally, and for playing an advisory role in licensing our clinics.

We are a multicultural organisation that embraces diversity and fosters a friendly, informal work environment.

This is a local hire, unsponsored post. Remuneration is salary only (no additional benefits). Only candidates currently residing in Qatar with family sponsorship will be considered.

About you

We are looking for a warm, skilled and dedicated nurse who is passionate about supporting the health and well-being of your pupils. The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrable nursing experience, ideally in a school, paediatric or similarly child-focused setting, with the ability to manage a busy clinical environment calmly and with care.

  • A recognised nursing qualification, with current or eligible registration with the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP); registration is mandatory for this post.

  • A sensitive and compassionate approach to working with children and young people, with the ability to build trust with pupils, parents and staff alike.

  • A sound understanding of safeguarding principles and the ability to recognise and respond appropriately to concerns about a child's health or welfare.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate health records, manage medication protocols and prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate professionally and sensitively with families and colleagues at all levels.

  • An administrative aptitude and comfort with digital record-keeping systems; a background in health administration is a desirable advantage.

A relevant post-registration qualification or experience in school nursing, paediatrics or community health would be an advantage. Experience working in an international or British-curriculum school setting would also be welcomed.

Please note this is a local hire, unsponsored position; remuneration is salary only, with no additional benefits. Only candidates currently residing in Qatar under family sponsorship will be considered.

We are a multicultural organisation that embraces diversity and provides a friendly, collegiate and professional working environment. Above all, you will be committed to the safeguarding and well-being of every pupil at Doha College.
