Job Title: Relief Security Officer

Location: CEVA Logistics sites covering Oxfordshire, Stanton Harcourt, and Upper Heyford

Working Hours: Zero Hours – Holiday, Sickness and Short-Notice Cover

Pay Rate:   As per site rate

Reporting to: Operations Manager / Assistant Contract Manager / Regional Supervisors

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable and flexible Relief Security Officer to join our established security team, providing support across CEVA Logistics sites in Stanton Harcourt, Witney and Upper Heyford.

This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible work covering holidays, sickness, and short-notice operational requirements. The successful candidate must be comfortable working across different site environments and be able to carry out duties both indoors and outdoors, including in varying weather conditions.

You will play a key role in maintaining site safety, security, and smooth daily operations. Duties will include controlling access, booking vehicles in and out, monitoring CCTV, completing patrols, and dealing professionally with visitors, drivers, contractors, and site personnel.

This position would suit someone with minimal other commitments who is happy to be called upon at short notice and can work flexibly when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Booking vehicles in and out of site accurately and professionally
  • Monitoring and operating CCTV systems where required
  • Controlling access and managing visitors, drivers, contractors, and staff
  • Carrying out regular site patrols, both indoors and outdoors
  • Maintaining accurate records, logs, and incident reports
  • Responding to incidents appropriately and escalating where required
  • Ensuring site rules, assignment instructions, and procedures are followed at all times
  • Providing a professional, approachable, and helpful security presence
  • Supporting site operations during busy periods, holidays, sickness, and short-notice cover
  • Maintaining high standards of conduct, safety, security, and appearance

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid SIA Licence.
  • Flexible and willing to work various shift times across multiple sites.
  • Be available to cover day shifts where required.
  • Willing and able to assist with last-minute site cover.
  • Reliable, professional, and punctual.
  • Have strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Be able to follow Assignment Instructions and site-specific procedures.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to complete training for each site supported.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Full 5-year employment checkable history
  • Must be willing to carry out both indoor and outdoor security duties
  • Ideal for someone seeking flexible work and who can support multiple sites when required
