Compensation: £100,000 P/A + Comps

We’re looking for a Backend Developer who thrives in dynamic environments — someone who loves clean code, scalable architecture, and being part of a team that’s pushing boundaries.

The Role

In this role, you will design, build, and optimize high-performance backend systems that handle large volumes of real-time data. You will take ownership of projects end-to-end in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, contributing directly to system architecture decisions and helping shape the technical roadmap for the firm's AI products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and optimizing high-performance backend systems in Python and FastAPI
  • Developing and maintaining backend systems that handle large volumes of real-time data
  • Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices
  • Contributing to system architecture decisions and the technical roadmap
  • Taking ownership of projects end-to-end in a collaborative, fast-moving environment

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience with Python
  • Solid experience building RESTful APIs with FastAPI (or similar frameworks like Flask/Django)
  • Passion for performance, scalability, and automation
  • Experience or interest in AI
  • A proactive mindset- someone who loves solving problems and experimenting with new tech
