Procurement Assistant

£14.7 - £17 per hourEstimated

About the role

A fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest care home providers at a truly transformational time. A hybrid role with opportunity to develop through the CIPS pathway for the right candidate. The Procurement Assistant will support Category Managers and the Head of Procurement in the delivery of the departmental objectives, to meet category objectives for cost reduction, management of supply chain and supply chain projects and providing a first-class service to all Customers and business stakeholders.

 

We currently have 2x Fixed Term Contracts available for this role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support to home-based colleagues with ordering
  • Manage the day-to-day enquiries in the inbox
  • Liaise with suppliers and manage any queries
  • Ensure to report any issues/escalations to Category Managers

About You

You will have administration experience, preferably in the healthcare sector. You will be ambitious and enthusiastic, you will be able to plan and prioritise your time effectively, to work both reactively and strategically according to business needs, reacting quickly to the demands of the business.

With strong communication and customer service skills, you will be able to engage and influence across a range of internal and external stakeholders.  

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
