Practice Nurse

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive GP surgery team. Main duties of the job
The role will involve providing a range of general practice nursing services, including health checks, chronic disease management, child and adult immunisations, travel vaccinations, wound care, compression dressings, cervical screening and other clinical duties appropriate to your experience and training.

Qualifications
Essential

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC registration.
• Immunisation and vaccination training.
• Cervical screening qualification/training.
• Compression therapy training or relevant experience.

Desirable

• Practice Nurse/General Practice Nursing qualification or relevant experience.
• Training or qualification in travel health and travel vaccinations.
• Training in chronic disease management.
• Relevant clinical skills courses, such as wound care, diabetes, respiratory disease or hypertension management.

Experience
Essential

• Immunisation and vaccination training.
• Cervical screening qualification/training
• Compression therapy training or relevant experience
