Brett Martin has been manufacturing in Northern Ireland since 1958 and is now one of the region’s largest independent manufacturers. Headquartered in Mallusk, the company employs around 1,000 people across seven UK sites and sells its products in more than 70 countries.

Its products are used in everything from homes and drainage systems to major construction projects and Premier League stadiums. The scale is significant, but the work itself remains practical and close to the customer.

As Marketing Executive, you will support marketing activity across Ariel Plastics and Brett Martin Plumbing & Drainage.

Ariel Plastics is the UK’s leading distributor of roofing sheets, rooflights and roofing accessories to builders’ merchants. Part of the Brett Martin Group, it combines national distribution reach with the product knowledge and manufacturing capability of its parent company.

The opportunity

Working to support the Department Brand Manager, and a wider team of specialist marketers, you will help deliver customer communications, campaigns, product launches, exhibitions and merchant activity across the UK and Ireland.

You'll benefit from working alongside a team with considerable experience across trade marketing, category management, product development and brand strategy.

This is a broad, hands-on role. One day might involve writing copy for an email campaign or updating website content; another could be spent preparing for a trade event, coordinating campaign materials or reviewing the results of recent activity.

Both businesses operate in busy trade markets where customer requests and priorities can change quickly. The role needs someone who can keep planned work moving while responding constructively when something new lands.

Your strongest area might currently be copywriting, content, digital marketing, events or campaign coordination. You do not need to arrive equally experienced in everything. This is a collaborative small team where you will have plenty of scope to discuss approaches. There is room for the right person’s existing strengths to influence the key focuses of the role.

What you’ll be involved in

Customer communications

Plan targeted communications and create copy and content for emails, websites, social media and marketing materials.

Campaign coordination

Support campaigns, product launches, incentives and more. Campaigns are run by Ariel Plastics and Brett Martin Plumbing & Drainage.

Events and exhibitions

Help plan and coordinate trade shows, exhibitions, customer events and other promotional activity.

Working across the teams

Collaborate with the Brand Manager, sales teams, graphic designers and social media specialists, as well as external partners where needed.

Practical delivery

Make sure samples, literature and campaign materials are available and reach the right people at the right time.

Reporting and research

Record campaign expenditure, review digital activity and stay informed of customer activity, competitors and wider market developments.

The must-haves

• Around two to four years’ professional marketing experience

• Practical involvement in campaigns, marketing activity or customer communications

• Sound copywriting and content-creation skills

• Strong organisation and attention to detail

• Confidence managing several pieces of work at once

• A proactive, adaptable approach when priorities change

• Curiosity about products, customers and campaign performance

• The ability to combine creative thinking with practical follow-through

Knowledge and experience that would be highly regarded

• B2B or trade-marketing experience

• A particularly strong area of interest or capability, such as copywriting, content, digital marketing or events

• Evidence of taking ownership and delivering high-quality work in a busy environment

Package and working arrangements

Salary:  Guide on request
Bonus:  Profit-related pay scheme

Hours:  08:30 to 17:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 to 16:00 Friday; 37.5 hours per week
