Class 2 Driver

Here at GXO, we’re expanding and looking for dedicated  Class 2 drivers to join our energetic team at  Rochdale (OL16 4NZ) working with our Transport team. 

This is a  full-time, permanent role . You will be contracted to work 47.5 hours per week , working 9.5 hours per day on a shift pattern of any 5 days out of 7 . This role involves early start times . Further details regarding your shift pattern and working schedule will be provided during the assessment process.

What you will do on a typical day: 

• Deliver and collect goods to and from various high street retailers across multiple locations
• Loading and unloading using tail-lift and roll cages – (sometimes pallets) 
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner 
• Complete all necessary paperwork correctly, in full and on time 
• Be compliant with Driver’s hours, Tachograph, Working Time, and Road Traffic Act regulations 

What you need to succeed at GXO: 

• Hold a valid Class 2 licence
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Commitment to safety and compliance with driving regulations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
