Are you organised, reliable and comfortable working in a busy environment?

We are looking for a Stores Assistant to help receive, store and deliver medical supplies across The London Clinic. You will make sure our teams have the products they need to care for patients safely and without unnecessary delays.

A little about the role

As a Stores Assistant, you will help manage the supplies used across our hospitals and clinical departments.

You will receive and check deliveries, put stock away safely, prepare orders and deliver supplies to teams across The London Clinic. You will also help in the Goods Bay, update stock records and complete regular stock checks.

Some items may be heavy or bulky, so you will need to be comfortable with the physical parts of the role. You will also need to work accurately, follow safety procedures and provide a helpful service to colleagues.

Working hours

• Most shifts are from 8.30am to 4.30pm
• You will sometimes work an early shift from 5.30am to 1.30pm
• Some weekend working may be required
• You will work at least one weekend each year for the annual stock count

What you'll be doing

• Receive and check deliveries to make sure the correct goods have arrived
• Match deliveries against paperwork and purchase orders to keep records accurate
• Put stock away safely so products are stored in the correct place
• Pick and deliver supplies so departments have the items they need
• Check stock levels and place replenishment orders to prevent shortages
• Rotate stock and check expiry dates to reduce waste
• Use handheld devices and computer systems to update stock information
• Complete regular stock counts and report any differences to keep records accurate
• Process returns and support product recalls helping maintain safety
• Respond to stock queries and provide helpful information to colleagues
• Keep the Stores and Goods Bay clean and organised to maintain a safe working environment
• Take part in the annual stock count, which will require working at least one weekend each year

What we're looking for

• A good basic level of English and Mathematics
• Experience within stores, logistics, stock control or purchasing
• Good organisation skills and attention to detail
• The ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• A reliable and helpful approach to work
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to manage physical tasks, including moving and handling stock safely
• Flexibility to work the required shift pattern

You will join a friendly and supportive Procurement team responsible for receiving, storing and delivering the medical products and everyday supplies used across The London Clinic.

You will work closely with Stores colleagues, clinical departments and suppliers who will help you learn the role and develop your knowledge. Your work behind the scenes will help our teams care for patients safely and keep hospital services running smoothly.
