Job description
The post-holder will be responsible for a range of duties including handling GP and patient queries for all specialities on the Encompass system. Involving management of partial booking, adhering to agreed protocols in relation to appointment booking, call handling and dealing with queries from stakeholders Trust wide in relation to Outpatient booking.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming paper referral letters and manage within agreed processes.
- Register referrals onto the Encompass system in line with IEAP guidance.
- Process and issue Outpatient appointments using Encompass Booking System, in line with the Integrated Elective Access Protocol (IEAP).
- Regularly monitor waiting list work queues to ensure patients are selected by clinical priority and in chronological order. Update manager in a timely manner with any capacity issues.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 4 GCSE’s at Grade A-C / 9-4 to include English Language (or equivalent) and 1 years’ relevant experience.
- Or
- NVQ Level II Administration and 1 years’ relevant experience.
- Or
- 2 years’ relevant experience
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Outpatient Booking Systems.
