Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant Required - Lambeth We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tulse Hill, Lambeth from September 2026 .
This rewarding role will involve providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with Autism , helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with Autism.
• Support the child's academic, social, and emotional development.
• Implement strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals.
• Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning activities when required.
• Encourage engagement, communication, and independence.
• Monitor progress and contribute to ongoing support plans.
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism.
• Is patient, caring, and resilient.
• Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Can remain calm and adaptable in different situations.
• Is committed to helping children achieve their individual goals.
• Holds relevant childcare, education, or SEN qualifications (desirable but not essential).
