Associate Scientist position in the Cardiovascular Safety Pharmacology department at Labcorp's Alconbury site. The role involves data collection, analysis, and study support with focus on ECG monitoring, blood pressure, and respiratory waveforms in a GLP-regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze cardiovascular data including ECG, blood pressure, and respiratory waveforms
- Verify accuracy of collected data and format according to specifications
- Recognize and interpret ECG complexes, rhythms, and abnormalities
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment for study teams
- Monitor critical study phases and report issues to management
Requirements
- GCSE level or above in Science, Math, and English
- BSc in Biology, Pharmacology, or Physiology preferred
- Experience in scientific industry working to GLP standards desirable
- Knowledge of cardiovascular data acquisition and analysis advantageous
- Proficiency with computer software and ability to learn departmental systems
- Strong teamwork and ability to quickly learn new methodologies
