Midday Supervisor

Clifford Road Primary School and Nursery are seeking to appoint two Midday Supervisors .

The main purpose of the role is to help ensure safe and active lunchtimes for the children.

You will supervise the children at lunchtime in the dining room and outside on the playground or indoors on wet days.

Your responsibilities will include:

• supervising children during the lunchtime period, both in the dining hall and on the playground (indoors on wet days)
• building positive relationships with children and staff
• supporting pupils’ wellbeing and model positive behaviour
• encouraging and engaging in positive play
• maintaining an acceptable standard of conduct and safety as laid down in the school policies, by dealing with problems and minor injuries and reporting breaches of discipline to an appropriate member of staff
• providing first aid cover on a rota basis
• setting up and clear away tables and chairs
• cleaning the dining area
• and any other related duties as directed by the line manager/head teacher.

We are looking for someone who:

• has experience working with children (school-based experience is a plus)
• is friendly, patient and approachable
• is happy to work outdoors
• can work well as part of a team
