History teacher

Job Title: Secondary History Teacher Location: Bromley, South East London Pay Range: M1 - M6 paid to scale (PAYE or Umbrella) Contract Type: Temporary ANZUK Education is working with a range of supportive and diverse secondary schools in Bromley seeking flexible and adaptable Secondary History Teachers to support their teams from September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to teach History across key stages, support learning in different school environments, and maintain strong behaviour practice. This Secondary History Teacher role in Bromley would suit experienced History Teachers, ECTs confident with behaviour management, or History specialists looking for a long-term role. Key Responsibilities of a Secondary History Teacher:

• Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour and learning.
• Deliver engaging and effective History lessons across KS3–KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different classes and learning abilities.
• Support pupils’ engagement, progress, and positive conduct.
• Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and reporting procedures.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff across school settings.
• Undertake full teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment, and marking.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification (essential).
• Be a confident ECT or an experienced teacher within the secondary phase.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the History curriculum for KS3–KS4.
• Have the ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment, and behaviour.
• Show an exemplary commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and school leaders.
