Pay: £90–£120 per day, dependent on experience

Role Overview

A large, inclusive primary school within the London Borough of Hounslow is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support pupils with a wide range of additional needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional academic, emotional, or behavioural support. You will play a vital role in helping them feel safe, understood, and capable within the school environment.

Support may be provided on a one-to-one basis or in small group settings , depending on the pupil’s needs and the school’s SEN structure.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant will include:

• Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN throughout the school day

• Supporting pupils to access lessons and learning activities

• Working alongside the class teacher to adapt resources

• Implementing strategies from EHCPs and support plans

• Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management

• Encouraging positive social interactions

• Supporting transitions between lessons and activities

• Supervising pupils during break times and lunchtimes

• Monitoring progress and recording observations

• Supporting personal care needs where required

• Promoting independence while maintaining appropriate support

• Helping to create a safe, inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who is:
