Teaching Assistant – Bristol | Full-Time | Immediate & September Starts

Protocol Education is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join supportive Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools across Bristol .
We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants as well as candidates with transferable experience, including Mental Health Support Workers, SEN Support Workers, Learning Support Assistants, Care Workers, Youth Workers, or anyone with at least 6 months' experience supporting children or young people.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
- Supporting children with SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have at least 6 months' experience working as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Mental Health Support Worker, Support Worker, Youth Worker, or in another relevant child or education support role.
- Are passionate about supporting children and young people.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Are patient, caring, reliable, and adaptable.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.
