Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Business Analyst to support the fraud Department. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in helping identify, prioritise and drive initiatives that disrupt illegal activity and protect consumers across UK.

Senior Business Analyst within the public sector, based in Birmingham. Daily rate: (DOE). 12 month contract. Immediate start.

Description

• Conduct business analysis activities across the fraud Programme of work.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges and opportunities.
• Analyse current operational processes and design improved future–state solutions.
• Gather, document and validate business requirements.
• Develop business analysis artefacts including:
• Requirements documentation
• User stories
• Acceptance criteria
• Process maps
• Business cases
• Stakeholder analyses
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Support the development of systems, data solutions and intelligence capabilities.
• Work closely with technical teams and suppliers to ensure business requirements are translated into effective solutions.
• Define success measures and evaluate the impact of implemented changes.
• Provide insight and recommendations to support strategic decision–making.

Profile

A successful Business Analyst should have:

• Significant experience working as a Business Analyst on complex programmes or projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship–building skills.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and gather requirements from diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience analysing and improving business processes.
• Strong analytical and problem–solving capabilities.
• Experience developing business requirements, user stories and process documentation.
• Ability to influence decision–making at multiple organisational levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Desirable Experience
• Experience working within a regulatory, compliance, enforcement or public sector environment.
• Knowledge of fraud, financial crime, investigations, intelligence or compliance functions.
• Experience delivering technology–enabled business change.
• Understanding of data analysis and performance reporting.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including digital, technology and operational specialists.

Job Offer

• Daily rate of 350 to 400, dependent on the level of experience.
• Interim contract role based in Birmingham.
• 12 month contract
• Immediate Start
