It is our pleasure to announce that the Community Midwifery Service is now recruiting core staff.

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Midwives who are passionate about delivering high-quality maternity care in the community and dedicated to enhancing the experience of our service users.

Strong teamworking skills and the ability to work independently across diverse community settings.

Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage busy caseloads.

A commitment to safe, responsive, and personalised care for mothers, babies, and families in their homes and local clinics.

A genuine interest in contributing to the ongoing development of community midwifery services.

Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Core Community Midwife, you will:

• Provide excellent community based maternity care
• Act as a role model for junior staff and students, supporting their development in community practice.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the community setting.
• Take responsibility for a specific role within the team, such as:

Specific roles include:

• Staff and student off-duty rota management
• Delivering pregnancy birth and beyond classes
• Breastfeeding Champion
• Junior staff appraisals
• Friends and Family lead
• Audit and safeguarding responsibilities
• Inclusivity and staff morale initiatives
• Mental Health First Aider
