Job Description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.

Personal Assistant required to provide companionship and support with daily living activities. Duties include accompanying me on outings and shopping trips, assisting with dog walking, light household tasks, and providing social support to help maintain independence and wellbeing.

I am a wheelchair user and unable to weight bear. I live with my husband, two grown up children and our dog. You will support me with some personal care and transfers if required. Your support will help me maintain independence and daily routines. Due to personal care support being required, a female Personal Assistant is preferred (Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies).

Location: NR10, Spixworth

Summary Terms and Conditions

× The rate of pay for this position is £12.89 per hour

× Hours and times of work as follows: 9 hours per week, ideally worked over 2 or 3 days (hours and times to be negotiated at interview).

× The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

× Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.

The post is subject to the following:

× A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.

× Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.

× Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
