Esteemed Jewish Secondary School in Hackney Seeks Part-Time History Teacher
We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity on behalf of our client, a distinguished Jewish secondary school and sixth form for girls located in Hackney. They are currently seeking a part-time History Teacher to join their faculty starting in September.
About the Role
This role offers a unique chance to inspire young women in their pursuit of historical knowledge within a faith-centered educational environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive department committed to academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and informative History lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and ethos.
- Assessing student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
- Collaborating with colleagues to enrich the History department's offerings and extracurricular activities.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of current historical scholarship and pedagogical approaches.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in History or a related discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching History at the secondary level.
- A strong grasp of historical content knowledge and pedagogical skills.
- A passion for inspiring a love of history in young learners.
