Day-to-Day Supply Teacher

We're recruiting Day-to-Day Supply Teachers across Harrow to support primary and secondary schools with regular classroom cover.

It's an opportunity to keep doing the part of the profession you enjoy while experiencing different schools and having greater control over your working life.

You'll provide classroom cover when a school's usual teacher is unavailable.

Work will normally be prepared for you, allowing you to concentrate on delivering the lesson, engaging pupils and creating a positive classroom environment.

You'll:

• Deliver lessons using planning and resources provided.
• Introduce yourself confidently and establish expectations quickly.
• Keep pupils focused on their learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Adapt your approach to different pupils and school environments.
• Support pupils who need additional explanation or encouragement.
• Follow the school's policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Work positively with teaching assistants and other colleagues.
• Provide feedback about learning and behaviour where required.

We're looking for teachers with:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent.
• UK classroom teaching experience.
• Strong behaviour and classroom management.
• The confidence to work independently.
• The ability to build rapport with pupils quickly.
• Good communication skills.
• A reliable and professional approach.
• Flexibility when working across different settings.
