Practice Educator

£32.08k - £38.78k per annum
Part-time, Full-time

About the job

Part time: 0.6FTE (22.2 hours per week)

Interview date: 14 September 2026

Join our team as a Podiatry Practice Educator, where you will combine clinical excellence with student development at the University’s Health & Rehabilitation Centre.

During term time, you will provide supervision, teaching and assessment for podiatry students undertaking clinical placements, helping them develop the practical skills, professional behaviours and competencies required for registration. You will deliver hands-on learning experiences, provide constructive feedback and sign off competencies in line with HCPC and Royal College of Podiatry requirements.

Outside of teaching periods, you will manage a clinical caseload, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with a range of acute, chronic and high-risk conditions.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future podiatry workforce while delivering outstanding patient-centred care. Both experienced and graduate clinicians are welcome to apply.

This post is subject to a background disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Service before any appointment can be confirmed.

About you

We are seeking a motivated podiatrist with a passion for education, patient care and professional development.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students, patients, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues.

Able to work independently and manage competing priorities, you will demonstrate sound clinical judgement and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

You will be confident providing support to learners to develop their skills and offering constructive feedback to help them succeed.

You are committed to undertake continued professional development. Adaptable and proactive, you will embrace innovation and continuous improvement while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, patient safety and clinical care.

Qualifications

Essential;

  • BSc (Hons) in Podiatry/Podiatric Medicine.

  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

  • Registration with the Royal College of Podiatry.

Desirable;

  • A level 7 qualification in a related field (or working towards one)
