Project Manager – High-End Residential, Heritage & Complex Refurbishment London & South East | Permanent | £5m–£30m Projects We're looking for a Project Manager to join a very good contractor delivering complex, high-quality projects across London and the South East. The business has been around for more than four decades, has low staff turnover, an excellent reputation and a portfolio of genuinely impressive work. Projects typically sit between £5m and £30m and include: Super-prime residential Listed / heritage buildings Heavy refurbishment and cut & carve Structural alterations Complex existing buildings High-end fit-out and finishesThis is for someone who wants to properly run a project. Not just chair the meeting, update the programme and hope everyone else has it covered. You’ll be taking ownership of programme, design, procurement, quality, commercial awareness, site delivery and the project team around you. Which probably means you’ve already experienced: the detail that was “final” until it reached site; the existing structure that had its own interpretation of the drawings; the client change that was apparently very small; and the programme float that disappeared before anyone admitted using it.The right person will have come through good quality main contractors and have a strong track record delivering technically demanding projects, ideally across: high-end residential | heritage / listed buildings | heavy refurbishment | cut & carve | structural alteration | complex fit-out You’ll need to be sharp, organised, technically strong and comfortable with clients, consultants and subcontractors. Most importantly, you’ll need to enjoy taking responsibility for a difficult job and getting it over the line properly. We’d be interested in experienced Project Managers or strong Senior Site Managers / Construction Managers ready to take full project responsibility.
