Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Speech and Language Locality Leads within our Children and Young People’s Team at Central Clinic Kilmarnock.

This post will be fundamental in leading the SLT Children and Young People’s team to effectively manage the speech, language and communication needs of the children of East Ayrshire.

The team are innovative and forward thinking, offering a range of Universal, Targeted and Individualised approaches to children, families and partners.

Hours:

25.2 hours over 3 or 4 days

Although flexible working arrangements can be considered.

This post is offered on a permanent basis.

UK Driving Licence:

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

What you will do:

You will line manage a range of SLT HCSWs and clinicians. You will contribute to the East SLT leadership team and lead on service improvement.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post:

You will be a highly skilled practitioner with extensive clinical experience. Experience of line management, clinical leadership and quality improvement are desirable. Regular support and supervision and opportunities to enhance skills will be provided in line with Turas. You will have strong written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and work constructively with a range of people.
