SENCO - Inclusive Secondary School in Huddersfield -...

A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Huddersfield is seeking a committed and experienced SENCO to lead its SEND provision from April. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SENCO to join a school that places inclusion, student wellbeing, and personalised support at the heart of its ethos.

The successful SENCO will oversee all aspects of SEND provision, ensuring that students with additional needs are effectively supported to achieve their full potential.

The Role

The school is looking for an organised and compassionate SENCO who can lead SEND provision while working closely with staff, families, and external agencies.

Key responsibilities of the SENCO include:

  • Leading and managing SEND provision across the school

  • Overseeing and reviewing EHCPs and support plans

  • Coordinating interventions and monitoring student progress

  • Supporting staff with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation

  • Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals

  • Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and school policies

  • Be committed to improving outcomes for all students
