Here at Long-Term Teachers, I am currently working closely with a 2 form entry Primary School in the BS22 area of Weston-Super-Mare. They are currently seeking multiple Teaching Assistants to support SEND children in their KS2 class.
You will be joining a team of staff who encourage kindness and a community feel throughout the school where children feel valued, safe and secure. The school provides the students with a stimulating curriculum within a nurturing environment.
The Role
There are 3 roles available for September; 2x morning only roles and 1x full-time position.
The Head Teacher is looking for experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with exceptional experience working with SEND. You will be expected to work closely with SEN pupils within the school on a 1 to 1 basis, supporting their educational and social development.
You will need to provide structure, engaging activities and adapted support to continue making a positive impact on the pupils' achievements through a personalised approach.
You will be expected to:
- Great communication with the Class Teacher.
- Have high expectations for the pupil.
- Have previous experience as a TA or working with SEND children.
- Be enthusiastic to help the wider school too.
- Use your initiative to adapt activities to meet the pupils needs.
