Programme Overview
GE Aerospace offers 12‑month paid placements across various UK locations for students in their placement year or recent graduates.
Placement Areas

- Programme Management, Research & Development, Software & Systems Engineering
Programme Dates & Process
- Typically run from mid‑June through to the following July (site‑dependent)
- Applications open in autumn and remain available through the end of the year, though early application is advised as roles may close sooner
- Candidates may apply for one placement—alternative opportunities may be considered; clear work‑eligibility required (sponsorship considered)
- Follow‑on stages include an online questionnaire, online test, video interview and a final interview with a People Leader
Eligibility Requirements
- Students in the UK on a placement year or recent graduates
- Working towards or having achieved at least a 2:2 in a relevant degree (some roles require a 2:1)
- Must satisfy Baseline Personnel Security Standard; some roles may require higher‑level national security vetting
- Must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship may be available, subject to restrictions
